Key dates for diversity at BNP Paribas India
2014 - Launch of MixCity in India
The Association BNP Paribas MixCity aims to facilitate the professional development of women within the BNP Paribas Group. In India, the network was launched in 2014. All permanent women staff of BNP Paribas India are the members. MixCity India aims at fostering the professional development of women and in providing networking opportunities.
2019 - Launch of the India D&I committee
The committee was launched to strategise and provide guidance on the D&I agenda. The committee consists of senior leaders across entities.
2019 - Launch of the crèche facility across entities
The crèche benefit was introduced and it is provided across India.
2019 - Launch of the PRIDE Network in India
At BNP Paribas, it is of utmost importance that employees bring their whole selves to work. PRIDE is an employee resource group for colleagues identifying as LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender) and their Allies (supporters of the LGBT+ community).
2020 - Launch of Male ally network in India
The Male ally network is introduced to recognize the role that men must play to foster more gender equality at the workplace and increase the representation of women at all levels in the organization and society. The allies will play an active role for the professional development of women through initiatives like mentoring and networking.

Pillar: Gender Equality
March 8 is recognised as International Women’s Day (IWD) around the globe and like every year we have a series of events lined up to celebrate the women of Sharekhan. The month of March 2021 will witness numerous events, as one day is just not enough to celebrate the beautiful ladies.
The theme for IWD this year is #Choose to Challenge. We all must challenge and call out gender bias and inequality to collectively create an inclusive world.

3. Facts Corner
Pillar: Disability
- December 3 is celebrated by the United Nations as International Day of Persons with Disabilities in a bid to promote a more inclusive and accessible world for the differently-abled and to raise awareness for their rights
- The 2011 census estimated that the number of people with disabilities in India is close to 2.68 crore (or 2.2% of the population), that is more than the entire population of Australia.

- Did you know the full form of LGBTQIA+? The complete acronym of the LGBTQIA+ is actually, LGBTQQIP2SAA, which is Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Pansexual, two-spirits (2S), Asexual and Androgynous.
