Announcing Mirae Asset Sharekhan’s updated Dress Code Policy Effective from August 1, 2025

July 31, 2025

Dear Sheru,

We have updated the Dress Code Policy of Mirae Asset Sharekhan (MASK) to better reflect our evolving work environment and ensure clarity around expectations. The updated dress code applies to all staff of MASK and its group companies at all times when performing work for the company. It is important that all staff conform to the updated dress code so that we can maintain a professional work environment in the organisation as well as positively represent our company and brand. In businesses like ours where face-to-face interaction with clients, customers and vendors is the norm, it is important to ensure that we present a consistent professional and positive appearance to them. You are requested to review and comply with the updated guidelines, which are effective from August 1, 2025.

Highlights of MASK’s updated Dress Code Policy

  • The updated Dress Code Policy outlines what attire, footwear, and accessories are appropriate for and acceptable in the workplace and what are not.
  • It recommends formal dressing as the dress code for all staff from Monday to Thursday.
  • On Fridays as well as the holidays when employees are required to work, employees who have client meetings must be in formal attire. The others have the option to follow the same dress code as recommended for Monday to Thursday or wear smart casuals.
  • As per the updated policy, formal shirts with half sleeves as well as full sleeves are now acceptable for men.
  • The updated dress code applies to all staff of MASK and its group companies, including permanent employees, expatriates, fixed-term contract staff, third-party/vendor staff and trainee/interns/apprentices/management trainees.
  • It applies in all workplaces, whether one is working from any of the MASK premises or locations other than a MASK office/branch; participating in official virtual meetings; going on a company offsite; or visiting clients, customers or vendors at the latter’s locations.
  • The staff must always wear formal attire and footwear when meeting clients, be it in-person meetings in any MASK/client location or virtual meetings online.
  • Employees who do not wear/avoid wearing formal footwear while traveling during the monsoon, must carry their formal footwear and compulsorily change into them immediately after reaching office.
  • In addition to dealing with business attire, the policy suggests guidelines for footwear, accessories, tattoos, and colour and pattern of attire.
  • The policy recommends avoiding attire, footwear, and accessories in too bright, flashy and fluorescent colours and patterns in the workplace.
  • It includes guidelines on grooming, cleanliness, and personal hygiene to ensure employees present themselves well while representing MASK.
  • It also clearly mentions what is considered as inappropriate dressing in the workplace.
  • In case of any doubt, it recommends sticking to formal attire.

All reporting managers are responsible for ensuring that their respective team members adhere to the updated Dress Code Policy. Non-compliance with the same will lead to disciplinary action, as deemed appropriate.
