Two Sherus from the Advisory team
bravely traveled to work for eight days
to carry out critical tasks in lockdown
When it was decided that the Advisory team would start to work from home from March 18 onwards, the team had to quickly find a way of running their daily activities without hiccups. Their key tasks included roll-over and execution of the scalping trades, execution of the orders of the Portfolio Management Service business and acting as a back-up for the branch dealing and BNP Paribas Wealth operations. The biggest challenge was to execute the trades on NSE NEAT terminals which could be carried out only from the Ruby office.
Two team members, Nilesh Trivedi and Deepak Nagda, were chosen to work from office to ensure uninterrupted execution of trades in these tough times. The Administration team arranged for their pick-up and drop so that they could travel to work without any difficulty. But coming to office when the COVID-19 pandemic was spreading fast and most people preferred to work from home for fear of catching the novel Coronavirus or being stopped by the local authorities on stepping out of home was difficult. It was also not easy for these two to convince their families to let them step out of home to go to work in the lockdown. But Nilesh and Deepak overcame all challenges bravely to reach office (in fact, Deepak rode his two-wheeler from Mulund to office on one occasion) to carry out the critical tasks entrusted to them from March 18 to 27, after which they too could start working from home like the rest of their team mates.
Three cheers for them. They are both COVID-19 Heroes!
