In the COVID-19 lockdown, many of our heroic stories are about Sherus going out of their way to help customers in these difficult times. Tushar Chorera, AVP Branch Business, Mumbai - Khar branch recently helped an ultra high net worth customer take advantage of the current volatile market conditions.

The customer holds multiple family accounts with Sharekhan but had stopped trading aggressively after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. On learning about the market opportunities he wished to resume trading. But due to the lockdown he was unable to transfer the funds he needed to trade from his bank account to Sharekhan’s bank account as he did not want to step out in the lockdown and was uncomfortable making bank transactions online.

So Tushar drove down from Malad to the customer’s place in Santa Cruz on April 22 in challenging lockdown conditions to collect a cheque of Rs.20 lakh from him and deposited the same in Sharekhan’s bank account. He was stopped by police twice but on both occasions he was allowed to carry on after presenting his identity card and authorisation letter. The client was really happy and appreciated the effort. Three cheers for the Sheru. He is a COVID-19 Hero.
