Institutional Desk team did whatever
it took to reach office on March 23

Sherus Abhishek Shukla, Dharmesh Shah, Dhiraj Thanvi, Dipesh Upadhyay and Nikhil Thakare from the Institutional Desk team led by Geeta Dave were working from the Ruby office from 8am to 5pm every day till March 26 after which two members from the team travelled to work every day in rotation till April 7. They needed to work from office till all arrangements could be made to carry out their critical functions, sales and dealing on behalf of the institutional customers, from home. It was challenging travelling to office and back home as the COVID-19 pandemic reached Mumbai shores and fear gripped the residents of the city. Things got tougher when on March 22, the state government announced a complete lockdown in Maharashtra and sealed all district borders.

But the entire team did whatever it took to reach office on the following day, ie March 23. Dharmesh hired an auto from Dahisar to reach Kandivli from where he and Dipesh travelled to the office in Geeta’s car. Dhiraj rode his bike from Ghatkopar to office and was undeterred even though he was stopped by police thrice on the way. Nikhil hired his friend’s car and drove all the way from Seawood to work. The Sherus even carried tea and other food items from home. They were driven by a commitment to work and tremendous courage. Two of the team members are currently working from home but the full team will go to office again towards the end of this month for the expiry work. Three cheers for all of them. They are all COVID-19 Heroes.
