Announcing First-time Managers Programme An onboarding programme for new managers

It gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of First-time Manager (FTM) programme for our new managers. An initiative of the Learning & Development (L&D) division of Human Resources, the programme aims to equip newly made managers with the requisite skillsets to help them become effective team leaders and managers who can foster engaged, productive teams and drive greater results for our organisation. The programme will also help Sherus to transition from an individual contributor to a team manager. At the same time, it will result in higher productivity and increased profits for Sharekhan.

FTM is a recurring programme and the L&D team will provide the platform to the newly promoted/joined managers to get trained as soon as they get a team to manage. The respective department heads/supervisors are requested to ensure the participation of all first-time managers in their teams to make the most of this opportunity.

After attending the programme, new managers will be able to:

  • Understand their new roles and responsibilities as managers
  • Apply key management and leadership principles
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Handle common managerial challenges
  • Develop a personal action plan for continuous improvement

We urge all new managers to join the programme to learn the skills and information needed to be successful in their new role.
