We are pleased to announce that Govind Lalwani joined the Sharekhan family as the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of Sharekhan’s non-banking finance company, Sharekhan BNP Paribas Financial Services Ltd (SBFSL), from November 1, 2023. He is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations. He reports to Amit Arora, Chief Executive Officer, SBFSL.

Govind has joined us from AK Capital Finance where he worked as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer in his most recent role. Prior to AK Capital Finance, he worked with AU Small Finance Bank where he was a member of the team working on the Bank Transformation Project including the bank’s IPO. He has total work experience of more than nine years in secretarial and compliance functions in the financial sector.

Govind is a qualified Company Secretary from Institute of Company Secretaries of India, holds a bachelor’s degree in Law, earned a diploma in Banking & Finance from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, and did his graduation in Commerce. He loves to travel to new places and explore new cultures. Watching and playing cricket, and binging on web series are his other interests.
