Zonal structure introduced in the Branch Network w.e.f. February 1, 2023 All branches to fold up under 4 zones, 3 promotions at the top

January 30, 2023

In line with our Vision 2025 document, Branch Network transformation was identified as one of the key projects to be delivered for the success of the master plan. As part of this, in 2021 and through 2022, we implemented the segmentation plan and reorganised the Branch Network staff around the four new segments. This year, we start with another key aspect of the Branch Network restructuring, strengthened by the mobility at the top level. We introduce a zonal structure in the Branch Network of Sharekhan wherein we have divided our Branch Network into four new zones to be managed by four Zonal Heads. All branches will fold up under these four zones and the zonal structure will replace the existing cluster organisation in the company. The entire Branch Network will be reorganised as below with effect from February 1, 2023.

Zonal structure introduced in the Branch Network w.e.f. February 1, 2023 All branches to fold up under 4 zones, 3 promotions at the top

Benefits of the new zonal structure are many

  • Creation of a strong governance framework in the Branch Network and a leaner hierarchy at the top
  • Preparation of the next level of leaders and freeing up of the bandwidth of the Zonal Heads for more strategic implementation
  • Group Heads having better control and productivity, being based near branches
  • Better integration and faster dissemination of consistent information for the success of Vision 2025
  • Easier implementation of the best practices of one zone in the other zones
  • Standardisation of the processes and practices across zones, leading to parity and transparency in the Branch Network system
  • More growth opportunities for the Branch Network staff, with meritorious Branch Managers and Relationship Managers moving up as Group Heads and Branch Managers respectively, subject to their willingness to get mobile and take up challenges in different territories
  • Improvement in collaboration across network teams
  • Optimum utilisation of branch resources leading to cost reduction

We are pleased to announce the new Zonal Heads for the above mentioned zones:
