We are pleased to announce that Abhay Kumar has joined Sharekhan as Zonal Head – West Zone with effect from August 19, 2024. He is responsible for building the branch business of the company in the western region of India, covering the states of Maharashtra and Goa. With the new appointment, all four Zonal Head positions created last year following the introduction of the zonal structure in the Branch Network have been filled. Abhay will be based in Mumbai and report to Parminder Varma, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Sharekhan.

Abhay comes to Sharekhan after a 16-year stint at ICICI Securities where he was steering the company’s PCG business as Vice President – Equity Relationship Group in his most recent role. Prior to ICICI Securities, he worked with other reputed financial service companies including Birla Capital & Financial Services, Kotak Life Insurance, Motilal Oswal Financial Services and DBS Cholamandalam Securities, in a wide range of sectors including wealth management, equity, banking and investment. He brings with him over 21 years of rich and extensive work experience in business leadership with an established record of success in significantly growing enterprise value. Abhay earned a master’s degree in Finance & Control from Lucknow University and graduated in Economics with honours from Patna University. Abhay is proficient in Hindi and English. While the stock market is his first love, he enjoys long-distance running and has participated in several half and full marathons. |
 Anahita Vora Zonal Head – North-West & Central Zone |
Anahita Vora, Zonal Head for the West Zone until now, has been appointed as the Zonal Head for the North-West & Central Zone of Sharekhan. She will be responsible for developing the company’s branch business in the north-western and central regions of the country, particularly in the states of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. She will relocate to Vadodara, her hometown, and continue to report to the CBO. |
We take this opportunity to thank Anahita as well as Nidhi Ambardar, Zonal Head – North & East Zone, for leading the branch business not only in their respective zones but also in the regions of the North-West & Central Zone since the zonal structure was implemented in January 2023. Anahita had been managing the branch business in Gujarat while Nidhi had been taking care of the Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan branches up till now. We appreciate their contribution.
