May 5, 2020 Dear All, I trust you are safe and well in these difficult times. As part of its relentless fight against the COVID-19 pandemic the government has made the download of Arogya Setu, a mobile application (app), compulsory for all public and private sector employees across the country with effect from May 4. The government app, developed by the National Informatics Centre, uses the Bluetooth and GPS features of smartphones to track the spread of the Coronavirus and helps users assess if they are at risk of contracting the infection. The app also provides all important information on COVID-19. On registering, the app prompts a user to take a self-assessment test and displays colour-coded results, green if the user is safe and red if he is not. All Sherus who are coming to work will have to show the app to the security guard on location every day and will be allowed to enter the office only if the app shows their health status as safe in green. Arogya Setu currently works on only smartphones, though the government is reportedly working on a version that can work on the regular mobile phones as well. The app is available in 12 Indian languages on Google Playstore and Apple App Store. Download it today.
Use Arogya Setu, practise social distancing and follow all necessary precautions to stay safe. Do take care of yourself and your loved ones. Thank you. Warm regards, |
