The exchange serves as a venue for the meeting of stock buyers and sellers as well as a cataloging agency for all securities that are eligible for trading. The BSE Exchange and the National Stock Exchange are the two main exchanges in India where trading is permitted.

Types of Share Markets

There are mainlly two types of share markets. They are: -

A firm depends on it when the stock market wishes to register in order to issue shares and raise capital. However, this platform can be used to reserve a specific spot on the stock exchange list for stocks. An Initial Public Offering (IPO) is the primary means by which a company raises capital by making its shares available to the general public.

2.    Secondary Share Market

Companies can trade fresh securities in the secondary market after acquiring them from the primary market. This means investors can sell the shares they have purchased through these deals. Investors deal with one other on the secondary share market; one sells, and the other buys at the going rate or at a price that is mutually agreed upon.

Trades on the Secondary Share Market typically include middlemen such as brokers. HDFC Securities provides excellent brokerage services to facilitate your fast and effective trading. To learn more about HDFC Securities, click this link.
