The Company was incorporated on January 30, 1987 in the State of Maharashtra. The Company has been promoted by a team of entrepreneurs having good experience in the textile industry. Chief Promoters of the company are Dr. Mohanlal Piramal, Mr. Ashok M. Bhawnani & Mr. R. K. Shriya. Company's factory located a Silvassa is engaged in manufacturing texturised/twisted polyester filament yarn. The installed capacity is 408 spindles for texturising & 3608 spindles for twisting. Commercial production commenced in December 1987. The Company has also set up a new project at Daman for setting up of two Draw texturising & three TFO twisting machines. The capacity was later expanded to 864 spindles of texturised yarn and 3848 spindles of twisted yarn. 1996-97: The Company proposes to install Two Draw Texturising Machines of 240 spindles each together with Roto attachment with a total capital outlay of Rs. 650 lacs at its existing site at Daman. It is also thinking to construct a RCC/ACC structure of about 12,805 sq. ft. on the existing two story Building. The project is being financed by Term Loans from Financial Institutions/Banks and from internal accruals. 2007 -Omnitex Industries India Ltd has appointed Mr. Deepak P Advani and Mr. Vivek M Jalanas Directors of the Company. 2008 -The Company designated exclusive e-mail id of grievance redressal division / compliance officer:redressel@omnitex.com -Omnitex Industries India Ltd has informed that Mr. Narendra M Dalmia has been appointed as additional director.
