At Sharekhan, we are committed to fostering a culture where every Sheru feels respected, included, valued, and inspired to achieve great things. Our culture is shaped by our values and unites our richly diverse workforce.
We come from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds but are united by common values and the Code of Conduct. Agility, compliance culture, client satisfaction, openness, stability, responsibility, expertise, and being a good place to work are values that we hold dear. We also value creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and encourage working schedules that help balance career and family life. Everyone in the organisation must be guided by these values in their day-to-day activities, which are clearly defined in our Code of Conduct (Code).
The Code also defines the rules of conduct that govern all our actions and decisions, consistent with our core values. It guides our thinking and behaviour. It also clearly articulates what is expected from each employee and how to apply the rules of conduct. The Code applies to all employees of Sharekhan and its associate companies as well as to all other stakeholders, including customers, Business Partners, shareholders, and local communities. A good understanding of the Code helps us Sherus make the right decision and do the right thing in challenging situations even when no one is looking.
To build a world-class team, we are committed to empowering our employees with authority and autonomy to make decisions, take ownership of their work and contribute to the success of the organisation. We provide career development opportunities and resources to help employees take initiative, think critically and creatively, and find innovative solutions.
Learning & Development: Our Learning & Development Program provides ongoing opportunities for employees to acquire knowledge, upskill, learn new skills, and grow professionally.
Mobility: We encourage internal career mobility and offer our employees the chance to grow and diversify their work experience by making job moves not only across the organisation’s various geographies, departments, and businesses but also across the geographies and businesses of the BNP Paribas Group.
At Sharekhan, we prioritise the wellbeing of our employees and our holistic employee wellbeing strategy addresses the mental, physical, and emotional health needs of our team. We also strongly believe happy, engaged employees are the key to an organisation’s success and our employee engagement programme is designed to create a positive work environment and provide opportunities to employees to connect, collaborate, and thrive.
Employee Engagement: We regularly organise a wide range of fun and engaging activities, including social events, festival celebrations, team-building activities, and workshops, to promote collaboration, build team spirit, and boost morale.
Health Check Camps: We organise health check camps at various work locations of the organisation from time to time to allow our employees to get full health screening conveniently and obtain preventive care in case of early detection of any health conditions. The idea is also to promote among the employees the concepts of wellness and healthcare.
Fostering a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion is the key to making our organisation a good place to work.
We are proud of our diverse culture and committed to creating a stimulating workplace where all employees—irrespective of their race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, disability status, and socioeconomic background—feel safe, respected, and free to bring their whole selves to work every day. We have made many proactive initiatives in majorly these three areas:
Gender Diversity: We aim to ensure appropriate and balanced gender representation at all levels of the organisation, and this objective is integrated into our Human Resources initiatives. Some of our gender diversity initiatives include wage equality, professional training, mentoring, and skill development.
LGBTQIA+: We are committed to supporting our employees to bring all of who they are to work, irrespective of their sexual preferences and orientations.
Accessibility (People with Disabilities): Disability at the workplace is everyone’s business, whether one is oneself disabled or not. We have organised many awareness-raising initiatives for our employees to encourage dialogue and dispel the stereotypes surrounding disability at the workplace.

CSR Program
The CSR Program of Sharekhan is closely aligned with that of the BNP Paribas Group. There is a clear determination at the highest level of the organisation to build a sustainable future through greater performance, responsibility, ethical conduct and transparency. Our voluntary activities are driven by four pillars: our Economy, Employees, Local Communities and the Environment. We maximise our efforts by supporting and contributing towards the growth of these four segments, benefitting them through volunteering or funding in collaboration with the Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) that also work in those areas. We offer a one-day CSR leave to all our employees to enable them to participate wholly in these initiatives.
