The German company has been in the induction heating equipment business for more than four decades. In 1986, it became a Public Ltd. company and the name was changed to EMA India Ltd. The company manufactures medium and high frequency induction heating equipment. During 1983-84, a letter of intent was received for the manufacture of metal cutting machines including grinding machines. The company entered into a technical collaboration agreement with Maschinenfabrik Gehring, West Germany for the manufacture of honing machines in India. EMA has an installed capacity of 20 pieces of induction heating equipments and 20 honing machines.
