Gujarat Craft Industries Ltd.(GCIL) was originally incorporated as Gujarat Craft Steels Pvt. Ltd. on 31-07-1984 with the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat. The Company has been converted to a Public Limited Co. and it's name has been changed to Gujarat Craft Industries Ltd. by passing a special Resolution on 30-08-93 and Fresh Certificate of Incorporation to that effect obtained on 3rd September 1993. The Company has been promoted by Mr.Pradeep Bhutoria and Mr. Binod Kumar Chhajer. GCIL is an existing profit making company and is currently manufacturing HDPE/PP laminated fabrics and bags with an installed capacity of 200 MTPA. The plant is located at 214, VIII, Budasan, Tal. Kadi, Distt. Mehsana, Gujarat. With the emergence of private sector and increased usage of PE BAGS used as packing material in industries such as fertilizers, chemicals, cement,sugar, and food grains etc. and it's superiority over jute bags, demand of HDPB bags has been rising. Some of the main customers of the company are PPL, NFL, IFFCO, KRIBHCO, FCJ, etc. The unit started commercial production from 06.05.91. For the financial year 1990-91 the income accrued is on account of jobwork and interest income to the tune of Rs.2.36 lacs. There after the company has been in the business of manufacturing HDPE/PP laminated fabrics and bags. The plant achieved a capacity utilization of around 66% in the year 1993-94. The company now proposes to diversify into manufacture of PP filament yarn with an installed capacity of 1800 MTPA. Besides being used as one of the raw materials by the group company (GRIL), the product finds it's application in various industries such as fertilizers, woven sacks, carpet, fishing, chemical etc. The proposed plant would be located at 431, Vadsar Road, VIII, Santej, Tal, Kalol, Distt, Mehsana, Gujarat. 2007 -Gujarat Craft Industries Ltd has designated E-mail ID for Investor's Complaints - nfo@gujaratcraft.com 2012 -Mr. Rishab A. Chhajer has been appointed as a Joint Managing Director of the Company. -Mr. Anil Kumar Bhandari has been appointed as a Director (Independent) of the Company.
