The Company was incorporated as a private limited company on 11th August 1988 for setting up a texturising and twisting plant at Silvassa in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli(Class 'A" backward industrial area). The Company's project was financed by term loans from Gujarat State Financial Corporation (G.S.F.C.). After obtaining sanction from these Financial Institutions in the month of November 1988 the Company implemented its project and commercial production from twisting machines was started in March 1989. The texturising plant was commissioned in June 1989. The Company implemented an expansion of twisting capacity by installing twelve additional uptwister twisting machines in March 1990. The Company increased its product range to include texturised, twisted and bright yarns of various deniers and is supplying the same to customer located in Bombay, Bhiwandi, Surat, Bhilwara, Ichalkaranji, Delhi, Kanpur, etc. The Turnover of the company has increased from Rs.763.78 Lacs in 89-90 to Rs.126.56 lacs for year ended on 31.12.1992. The Company has also issued bonus shares in Feburary 1992 in the ratio of one equity share for every one equity share held. The Company has been converted into a Public Limited Company with effect from 4th March 1993. 1996-97: During the year, the company expanded the capacity of PTY by adding two texturising machines which has positioned the company well to compete effectively. 2010 -Company has changed its name from Jatta Industries Ltd. to Jattashankar Industries Ltd. 2011 -Company has changed its name from Jattashankar Industries Ltd. to Jatta Poly-Yarn Ltd. 2012 -Company has changed its name from Jatta Poly-Yarn Ltd. to Jattashankar Industries Ltd.
