The Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 16th April, 1981 under the name Kumar Wire Cloth Manufacturing Co. Pvt. Ltd with the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra at Bombay, and was subsequently converted into a Public Limited Company by passing a Special Resolution in the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 10th January, 1992. The fresh Certificate of Incorporation consequent to conversion was obtained on 21st May, 1992. It started its manufacturing activities for the first time in January 1983. The Company is presently engaged in the manufacture of fine and very fine wire meshes (sizes 1 So to 500), made primarily out of Stainless Stool with a built in facility for manufacturing from other metals. The Company, at present, possesses 10 semi-automatic looms with an installed capacity of 1.80 lac sq. ft. The product is used mainly for sieving, filtration and separation and as such finds application in industries with modern technologies. The market for wire mesh can be segmented, based on its application, into; 1. As filters in petrochemicals, fertilizers, refineries, sugar, oil, milk, other food industries and Engineering Industries. 2. As sieves in laboratories and pharmaceutical industries Wire mesh is also used in wide range of other industries like cement, polyester films, high pressure hydraulics, automotives, mining, paper,aluminium, wood working and nuclear technology. The Company has entered into technical collaboration with G. Bopp & Co.
