Mewar Polytex Limited (MPL) was originally incorporated on 9.5.1979 as a private limited company with Registrar of Companies, Rajasthan, at Jaipur and subsequently converted into public limited company in terms of the resolution passed at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the company held on 30.6.94 under section 31 and other relevant provisions of the act. A fresh certificate of incorporation dated 8.9.94 was issued by the Registrar of Companies Rajasthan at Jaipur. The Company was promoted by Shri B H Bafna for manufacturing light weight Polypropylene Bags for packing soap stone, chemicals and minerals during a period when HDPE bags were predominatly used. The Company commenced its commercial produciton in the year 1980 with a capacity of 200 MT per annum which was enhanced to 300 MT in the year 1985. With the addition of circular looms in the ear 1990 the capacity installed was 350 MT PA. This also led to a better capacity utilisation and manufacturing of quality products. The company has now embarked upon an expansion programme which will enhance the installed capacity to 1970 MT PA. The project is in a very advanced stage of implementation. The main equipments comprising of extruder and 16 looms have arrived at the factory stie and have been erected. The company has already commenced its commercial produciton with effect from 27.3.95. The balance quipments such as 16 looms, DG set and some of the miscellaneous fised assets will be delivered shortly. 2005 -The Company has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.50 per share (5%) 2006 -The Company has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.50 per share (5%)
