The Company was incorporated in 1969. Formerly, it was known as RIR International Rectifier Ltd. In 1969, Ruttonsha got into a joint venture with International Rectifier of Los Angles, U.S.A., for manufacture of semiconductors and so the present Company began in an annexe of "International House". The business prospered due to the quality of its products made possible by the special interest shown by its President, Mr. Eric Lidow, who was Chairman of the joint venture for the first 19 years and Mr. R J Mueller, who was and is our Vice-Chairman since inception by his regular visits to Bombay and training of our engineers at their factories in Los Angles and abroad. As this Company came into prominence, the Gujarat Government with the consent and approval of the Centre called for its movement into what the Government planned to make into its silicon valley in the backward areas around Baroda and so was built "International House" at Halol. In 1986 the Company went public and in 1990 Mr. Lidow retired after 19 years and Mr. J E Ruttonsha became its Chairman and Managing Director. 2002-Ruttonsha International Rectifier Ltd has appointed Mr Jimmy N Pantaky as a Director of the company. 2007 - Ruttonsha International - E-mail ID for Investor Complaints www.ruttonsha.com. 2010 -Company Board has recommended dividend of Rs. 0.60 (Rupees 60 paise only) per fully paid-up equity share of Rs. 10/- each 2011 - The Company has been awarded 'Export House' status by the Government of India. 2012 - The Company Board recommended a Final Dividend of 7.50% i.e. Rs. 0.75 /- per equity share of Rs. 10/- each 2013 - The Company Board recommended a Final Dividend of 7.50% i.e. Rs. 0.75 /- per equity share of Rs. 10/- each. 2021 -RIR Power Electronics Ltd has acquired 100% stake in Visicon Power Electronics Private Limited. 2023 -Company name has changed to RIR Power Electronics Ltd. from Ruttonsha International Rectifier Ltd. 2023-Company name has changed to RIR Power Electronics Ltd. from Ruttonsha International Rectifier Ltd..2025-The Company has issued Bonus Shares in the Ratio of 1:1.
