The company was incorportated in Bangalore on January 3, 1986 as a public limited company under the name and style of University Resorts Limited having its regaistered office at Royal Orchid Harsha, No. 11, Park Road, Bangalore 560051. The Registrar of Companies, Karnataka issued a Certificate of Commencemet of Business dated Febrauary 3, 1986 in the name of Universal Resorts Limited. The authorised capital of the company at the time of incorporation was Rs.10 millions. Thereafter the name of the company was changed to Royal Orchid Hotels Limited. We obtained the Fresh certificate of Incorporation Consequent to Name Change on April 10, 1997. The autorised capital of the company was thereafter increased from Rs.10 million to Rs.40 million in the year 1997, from Rs.40 million to Rs.120 million in the year 2000 and thereafter to Rs.300 million as at present.
