The Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 18.01.94 with the Registrar of Companies, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu and was subsequently converted into a Public Limited Company on 23.12.94. The registered office of the Company was changed from 23-A, Ramalinga Nagar, 4th Cross, Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore to SF No.74/12 & 75/3, Sathy Main Road, Poongampalli Village, Sathyamangalam with effect from 27/10/95, where the company's factory is located. SCL's main objects are to carry on the business of manufacturers of combed and karded cotton yarn for direct export. SCL is setting up a unit with an installed capacity of 12096 spindles at S.F No 74/12, 75/3 Sathy Main Road, Poongampalli Village, Sathyamangalam Taluk, Periyar District, near Coimbatore, (a State notified backward area) to manufacture cotton yarn for local and export markets. The Company has commenced the trading of yarn in the local and export market and achieved a turnover of Rs. 304.78 lakhs during the period 01/04/95 to 31/12/95 and the profit before tax for the same period was Rs. 20.54 lakhs. The Company will not carry on with the work of trading in cotton yarn after commissioning of the proposed project. 2010 -Board has recommended a Dividend of Rs. 1.00 per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2010. 2011 - The company board has recommended Dividend of Rs.1.00 per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2011. 2014 - The company have recommended Dividend of Rs. 1.20 per share. 2021 -Embracing the ethos of circular fashion, company saw actively engaging in initiatives that promote recycling and upcycling, ensuring that our products leave a positive impact on both people and the planet. 2022 -Continuing quest for innovation, this year marked the introduction of dyed fabrics, adding a vibrant splash of colour to our ever-expanding repertoire of offerings. 2023 -Company got into the world of blended yarns, combining different fibres to create unique textures and properties that elevate the possibilities of textile design.
