Samrat Phannachem Limited was incorporated as Private Limited Company on 16th June 1992, under the Companies Act, 1956 in the State of Gujarat and subsequently converted into a public limited company on 24th July, 1992. Samrat Pharmachem Limited is going for an expansion of its facilities for manufacture of Bulk Drugs at Ankleshwar, Gujarat, it has taken over the unit comprising of land & building, machinery and other assets and liabilities costing Rs.30.64 lacs from M/s. Lub-chem, Bombay a partnerahip firm, promoted by the same management at book value on 1st April 1993. THE MAIN OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY The main objects of the company as set out in the Memorandum & Articles of Association are as follows: To carry on the business as manufacturers, manufacturer's representatives, dealers, traders, factors, agents, suppliers, stockists, packers, distributors, exporters, and importers of all kinds, types, nature and description of medicine, drugs, drug intermediates, pharmaceuticals, mixtures, powders, tablets, capsules, injunctions, compounds, formulations, nutrients, health products, creams, lotions, syrups, tonics, biological and biochemical products, pills, mother tinctures, triturations, glucose, nourishment foods, ointment, surgical dressings, water for injections and medical preparations, required for or used in allopathic ayurvedic, unani, homeopathic and nature cure treatments for prevention or prophylactic cure for human beings, animals, insects and birds. SUBSIDIARIES The company does not have any subsidiary at present. PRESENT BUSINESS OF THE COMPANY The Company is currently engaged in the manufacture and export of pharmaceutical bulk drugs, namely Potassium Iodide IP, Potassium Iodate IP, Iodine IP and Ferrous Fumerate IP. The Company has achieved a turnover of Rs.153.51 lacs and cash profit of Rs 8.79 lacs during the five month period ended 31st August, 1994. The Company exports its goods to Singapore, Japan, U.S.A. and other countries. For the year ended March 1994 the Company has achieved direct and indirect exports worth Rs.35.59 lacs.
