The Company initially started hosiery business in 1989. In 1993, SIL established a spinning unit at Village Meharban, Rahon Road Ludhiana for manufacturing of Acrylic Yarns with installed capacity of 6720 Spindles.In December 1995, SIL went for a public issue of 25,00,000 equity shares of Rs. 10/- each at a premium of Rs. 25/- each aggregating Rs.8.75 crore (including premium of Rs.6.25 crore) and put up another spinning unit at Village Kanech, Near Sahnewal, G.T. Road, Ludhiana with initial capacity of 12000 Spindles which was enhanced in the year 1998, 2005 and 2006 and the present installed capacity of the unit is 65904 spindles for the manufacture of cotton / cotton blended and synthetic yarn.2021-The Company has issued Bonus Shares in the Ratio of 3:1. 2022-Company has commenced commercial production of additional 40800 Spindles (First Phase) at Village Jeeda, Kotakpura Road, Bathinda for manufacturing of Polyester Cotton Yarn.2023-'Commenced Commercial Production at Bathinda unit'. 2021 -The Company has issued Bonus Shares in the Ratio of 3:1. 2023 -'Commenced Commercial Production at Bathinda unit'. 2023-The Company Started Commercial Production at Bathinda unit'2024 -The Company has splits its face value from Rs. 10/- to Rs. 1/-.
