The Company was incorporated as `Studds Accessories Private Limited' on February 3, 1983, under the Companies Act, 1956, at Haryana, India with a certificate of incorporation granted by the RoC. The Company became a deemed public limited company in terms of Section 43(A) of the Companies Act, 1956 with effect from March 31, 1990, and the word `private' was deleted from the name of the Company. The Company was subsequently converted into a public limited company pursuant to a special resolution dated October 22, 1994, passed by the shareholders of the Company and the name was changed to `Studds Accessories Limited'.
