The Company was incorporated on 21st May, 1958. In 1962, manufacture of ethical products commenced based on foreign know-how. The company started with the manufacture of `Woodwords Gripe Water' in 1959. In 1974, a basic chemicals Division was started with the object of synthesising pharmaceutical intermediate & chemicals. In 1975, the Indian Medicine Division was established for manufacturing herbal products. In 1982 an Animal welfare division was set up for manufacture of formulations for veternary use. In 1985, company diversified into the manufacture of ready to cereal snack foods. The plant is located at Hosakote in Karnataka state and it is equipped to manufacture 10,000 metric tonnes per annum of cereal foods. The estimated cost of the project was Rs 363 lakhs. The merger of TTK chemicals Ltd with this company has been sanctioned by the High Courts of Madras and Andhra Pradesh with retrospective effect from 1st June, 1988. 1995 - TTK Pharma to make heart valves; tests successful. - TTK to market artificial heart valves. 1996 - TTK Pharma signs pact for European knowhow. - Chitra launches heart valve. 1998 - TTK Pharma launches Woodward's oral formula. - TTK Pharma launches diarrhoea formulation. 2001 - TTK Healthcare eyes buyers for Hyderabad bulk facility. - TTK Health signs MoU with Shri Chithra institute. - TTK pharma makes tilting-disc heart valve. 2002 - TTK Healthcare to allot shares to shareholders of TTK Medica. 2003 - High Court approves TTK Healthcare's Capital Restructuring Plan. - TTK Healthcare - VRS at the Company's Medical Devices Division. 2006 - Mr. R Srinivasan, a leading Management Consultant has joined the Board of the Company as "Independent Director". - The Board has recommended a Dividend of Rs 2/- per Equity Share of Rs 10/- each. 2007 - Board has recommended a Dividend of Rs 2.50 per Equity Share of Rs 10/- each, 2008 - Board has recommended a Dividend of Rs 3.00 per Equity Share of Rs 10/- each. 2009 - TTK Healthcare - Acquisition of Orthopaedic Implants Business / Undertaking. 2010 - TTK Healthcare - TTK Forays into Ortho Segment with American Collaboration. - TTK Healthcare - TTK Forays into Ortho Segment with American Collaboration. - Board has recommended a Dividend of Rs. 3.50 per Equity Share of Rs. 10/- each. 2011 - Board has recommended a Dividend of Rs. 4.00 per Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each. 2012 - The Board has recommended a Dividend of Rs. 4.00 per Equity Share of Rs. 10/- each. - TTK Healthcare starts production at Pellet manufacturing line at Hosakote factory. 2013 - Board recommended a Dividend of Rs. 4/- per Equity Share of Rs.10/- each (40%). - Mr T T Raghunathan, in addition to his existing responsibility as Executive Vice Chairman of the Company has been appointed as the Managing Director. 2014 - Board recommended a Dividend of Rs 4/- per Equity Share of Rs. 10/- each (40%) 2016 -TTK Healthcare commences production from new plant in Rajasthan  -TTK Healthcare begin producing medical devices.
