Indian indices-

Indian equity markets ended higher on July 02, 2026, on easing crude oil prices on positive signs of the US and Iran trade talks, and strong buying in IT and select metal stocks. At close, the Sensex was up 579.48 points or 0.75% at 77,502.12, and the Nifty was up 169.85 points or 0.71% at 24,175.70.

Rupee closed at 95.39/$ Vs. July 01, closed of 95.25/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Zee Entertainment Enterprises slipped 1.20% to Rs. 107.15, after board approved fund raise.

2. Tata Technologies rose 6.24% to Rs. 712.30, on $100 million Tenneco partnership expansion.

3. United Drilling Tools gained 3.10% to Rs. 216.50, after the company secured a repeat domestic order worth Rs 3.88 crore from Vedanta for the supply of tubings, pup joints and crossovers in the ordinary course of business.

Global Signals-

Asian equities ended mixed amid cautious sentiment and shifting global market cues.

European markets were slightly higher, as investors awaited key US jobs data and benefited from easing inflation concerns.
