The Company started hire-purchase and financing activities since May 1969. 1968 - The Company ceased to be a subsidiary of The New Indian Assurance Co. Ltd. 1969 - Equity shares subdivided. 2,00,000 bonus equity shares of Rs 10 each issued in prop. 4:5. 1972 - 3,00,000 rights equity shares offered at par in prop. 2:3 in May, 1972. In July 1972, 40,000 No. of equity shares out of rights issue, which remained unsubscribed were offered for public subscription. 1978 - 5,00,000 shares issued at par privately during 1978 of which 3,25,000 shares subscribed for till the end of 1978. 1985 - 7,50,000 right equity shares issued at par in the ratio of 3:5. 1986 - 10,00,000 right equity shares issued at par in prop. 1:2. 1990 - The Name of the Company was changed from Jayabharat Credit & Investment Co. Ltd. to Jayabharat Credit Ltd.1993- 20,00,000 shares allotted at a prem. of Rs 5 each on rights basis.2003-Company has recommended a dividend of 10 08-Company has recommended a right issue of 1:12009-Registered Office of the Company has been shifted to 19/20, Rajabhadur Mansion, 4th Floor, Opp. SBI Main Branch, Near Stock Exchange, 22, Mumbai Samachar Marg, Fort, Mumbai 400023.
