The Co was incorporated as a public limited Co on 29th August 1985. The co has been promoted by Dr. N G Palaniswami and associates comprising of several doctors practising in USA, UK and many other countries including India. The main objects of the Co include the establishment and running of multispeciality hospital. The co has set up a modern 250 bed multispeciality hospital near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu with support from internationally acquired professionals backed by leading Indian doctors and well trained support staff. A part from regular medical facilities Renal Dialysis, Pumonary, Endorinology , Cardiothrasic, Neonatology, Opthamology & Nuclear Medicine area some of the speciality departments in the hospital. The Company also proposes to run a school of nursing to impart training for nurses and para medical staff in order to maintain high quality of patient care. The hospital was inaugrated on 24th June 1990. All the departments of the hospital are functioning with senior doctors with the supporting medical staff. The hospital is located in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. 2005 -Kovai Medical Centre forges alliance with US varsity for masters programme 2007 -Kovai Medical Center & Hospital Ltd has appointed Mr. K Saminathan as an Additional Director of the Company as per Section 260 of the Companies Act 1956 and Article 75 of the Articles of Association of the Company. 2009 - Dr.M. A. Muthusethupathi was inducted as Additional Director (Independent) by the Board of Directors of the Company. - Board has recommended a dividend @ 12.5% on the equity share capital of the Company (Rs 1.25 per share). 2010 -Board has recommended a dividend @ 12.5% on the equity share capital of the Company (Rs 1.25 per share). 2011 -Kovai Medical Center & Hospital Ltd has Won 'Chairman Doctorate Award" for the year 2011. 2012 -Kovai Medical Center and Hospital has won "Best Hospital Award" - Non Metro South India for the year 2012. 2013 -Dr. S.
