In the absence of its affiliate companies, Petronet LNG would limit its exposure to 1-2mtpa (investment of $500million to $1billion) with back-to-back contracts for volume offtake. We believe that negotiations on the delivered LNG price to India would be key to finalisation of the deal given sharp 60% fall in the Asian spot LNG price to $2/mmbtu since January 2020.
