Mr R D Bansal, promoted Pondy Oxides and Chemicals, a partnership firm which was constituted on 27th November 1992 and commenced commercial operations in July 1993. The firm started its activities in trading of zinc oxide and lead sub-oxide. Subsequently it started the manufacture of zinc oxide by putting up a manufacturing facility in Pondicherry. 2005 - Company has splits its Face value of Shares from Rs 10 to Rs 2 2006 -Pondy Oxides & Chemicals Ltd Issues Rights in the Ratio of 2:3 2007 -The Company has issued Bonus Shares in the Ratio of 1:10. -Company has Consolidates its Face value of Shares from Rs 2 to Rs 10 2008 - Pondy Oxides & Chemicals Ltd has appointed Mr. P N Sridharan as Additional Director of the Board w.e.f. April 24, 2008. 2011 -Registered Office of the Company has been shifted To KRM Centre, 4th Floor,No.2, Harrington Road,Chetpet, Chennai - 600 031. 2012 - The Company has recommended dividend of 10% . 2013 - The company has approved the purchase of 1.36 acres of land at Kancheepuram District, Tamilnadu for a consideration of Rs. 207.50 lacs for its future expansion programme. - The Comapny has considered and approved the proposal for de-merger of four units of the Company namely Unit I -MOD, Unit II-PAD, Unit V-ZRD, Unit VI-ARD with the wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, POCL Enterprises Ltd. 2014 - Pondy Oxides & Chemicals Ltd. has submitted Draft Scheme in respect of the Demerger of four units of the Company with its wholly Owned Subsidiary Company M/s. POCL Enterprises Ltd. 2015 -"Completion of Project and Commencement of Trial run at the Company's new site located at Industrial Park Gajulamandyam - Andhra Pradesh". 2017 -The Company will commence its trial production of Zinc Metal and Zinc oxides. -Pondy Oxides wins Star Exporter Award under ME Category. -The company has won the Star Exporter Award for the year 2015-16 in the product group- Non-ferrous Metalsand articles thereof, under Medium Enterprises Category. -The Company has been awarded Silver Trophy for Top Exporter (Medium Enterprise) from Engineering Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. 2018 -The Company has received a National Award for being a Top Exporter (Medium Enterprise) for the year 2016-17 from the Engineering Export Promotion Council. 2019 -The Company has emerged as the winner of the first edition of The Economic Times Awards, Tamil Nadu for Excellence in Business Performance. 2020 -The Company has been awarded the Gold Trophy for Top Exporter for the year 2017-18 by EEPC, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. 2022 -Company has issued Bonus Shares in the Ratio of 1:1. -Commencement of Commercial production of Aluminium at our existing plant located in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu 2024 -The Company has splits its face value from Rs. 10/- to Rs. 5/-. -The Company acquisition of an aggregate Industrial land parcel of 122.65 acres at Mundra, State of Gujarat for Rs. 41.40 Crores
