Market Report- Markets trade lower amid oil shocks, war woes

Indian stock markets opened with a cautious, bearish tone on March 13, 2026, amid negative global cues, driven by worries over a prolonged conflict between the US and Iran. Except power, energy stocks, all other sectoral indices were trading in the red. At 9.24 am, Sensex slipped by 0.89% or 683 points to 75,340. The Nifty dipped by 0.93% or 222 points to 23,423.
