Midday Report- Markets higher on peace talk hopes

The benchmark indices continued to trade higher on, April 21, 2026, as both the Nifty and Sensex have extended their gains in afternoon trade. Markets reacts positively to hopes of renewed peace negotiations between the US and Iran. This has led to a slight dip in crude oil prices. Most of the sectoral indices were trading in the green. At 1.22 pm, Sensex rose by 0.89% or 694 points to 79,212. The Nifty gained 0.73% or 176 points to 24,542.
