Midday Report- Markets trade lower. TCS in focus

The benchmark indices were trading lower on April 09, 2026, as West Asia tensions and rising oil prices weighed on markets. The profit booking was also seen among index heavyweights and among sectoral indices. At 1.13 pm, Sensex fell by 1% or 769 points to 76,801. The Nifty dipped by 0.75% or 179 points to 23,819.
