Midday Update- Sensex up 500 points, Nifty above 23,900

Indian equities continued to trade higher in the afternoon session on September 04, 2026, supported by positive global cues, sustained buying in heavyweight stocks, and improved investor sentiment. The broad-based gains across key sectors also contribute to the market's upward momentum. At 12.41 pm, Sensex rose by 0.72% or 540 points to 76,694. The Nifty gained 0.28% or 67 points to 23,942.
