Indian indices-

Indian stock markets closed higher on November 06, driven by continued foreign institutional investor (FII) buying, a sharp decline in crude oil prices, and strong gains in heavyweight banking, IT, and auto stocks. Investor sentiment also improved after the recent rally in US markets and easing concerns over geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. At close, the Sensex was up 1,718.01 points or 2.17% at 81,028.02, and the Nifty was up 493.75 points or 2.01% at 25,030.35.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Thermax tumbled 17.46% to Rs. 2,742.25, after the company reported a 4.28% YoY decline in consolidated net profit to Rs. 114.54 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with Rs. 119.66 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

2. Sai Life Sciences surged 10.89% to Rs. 1,770 after reporting a strong performance for Q2 FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 17% YoY to Rs 98 crore.

3. Cholamandalam Financial Holdings rose 2.78% to Rs. 1,453.20, after company’s consolidated net profit rose 16.9% a year to Rs. 643 crores in the September quarter (Q2FY27).

Global Signals-

Asian markets closed mixed as investors assessed global growth and interest rate outlook.

European markets were trading lower amid profit booking after recent gains.
