Post Market Update- Markets end lower after volatile session

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended largely lower after a volatile session on June 06, 2026. The gains were wiped out by late-selling pressure as investors booked profits at higher levels. The Weakness in sectors like IT and metals, along with broader market declines, weighed on sentiment, while global uncertainties and interest-rate concerns kept traders cautious. At close, the Sensex was down 150.63 points or 0.20% at 73,832.55, and the Nifty was down 53.35 points or 0.23% at 23,161.60.

Rupee ended at 95.76/$ Vs. Wednesday's close of 95.27/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. PPAP Automotive jumped 19.05% to Rs. 244.65, after partnership with French Company Hutchinson to develop advanced body sealing sys for PVs.

2. Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd rose 8.21% to Rs. 111.51 nearly 4% after board approved Rs. 2,300 Cr fund raise.

3. Vascon Engineers gained 4% to Rs. 34.83, on order win impact.

Global Signals-

Asian markets traded mixed amid global volatility concerns.

European markets were trading with gains followed by CAC 40, FTSE 100 and DAX.
