1. Dabur India Q4 net profit falls 8.4% to Rs 320 crore, declares Rs 5.25 dividend.

2. Canara Bank Q4 net profit up 33.2% YoY at Rs. 5,002.7 Cr.

3. Asian Paints Q4 net profit down 45% YoY at Rs. 700.8 Cr.

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended with sharp fall in the last hour session on May 08, 2025, as India-Pak tensions escalate. Except IT and Media, all other sectoral indices ended in the red. The BSE midcap index shed 1.90% and smallcap index fell 1.05%. At close, the Sensex was down 411.97 points or 0.51% at 80,334.81. The Nifty was down 140.60 points or 0.58% at 24,273.80.

Rupee ended at 85.71/$ against May 07 close of 84.83/$. Rupee posted biggest single session decline against $ since February 2023.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company rose 7.78% to Rs. 87.38, after Q4 net profit jumped to Rs. 206 crores.

2. Asian Paints declined 1.29% to Rs. 2,302.50, after the company's consolidated net profit tumbled 44.92% to Rs. 1,256.72 crore in Q4 FY25.

3. Ginni Filaments surged 20% to Rs 28.35, after the company reported standalone net profit of Rs. 4.79 crore in Q4 March 2025 as against net loss of Rs. 50.82 crore in Q4 March 2024.
