Post Market Update- Markets log gain 3rd straight day. Rupee sees sharp fall.

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices capped off a stellar session on March 18, 2026, marking a "hat-trick" of gains. Both the Nifty 50 and Sensex ended near their day’s highs, fueled by a massive rebound in IT and Realty stocks. Except FMCG and metal, all other sectoral indices ended higher. At close, the Sensex was up 633.29 points or 0.83% at 76,704.13, and the Nifty was up 196.65 points or 0.83% at 23,777.80.

Rupee ended at a record closing low of 92.63/$ Vs. March 17 close of 92.37/$.

1. Urban Company surged 10.33% to Rs. 121.20, after SBI MF increase stake with Rs. 600 crore purchase.

2. Dee Development Engineers fell 9.99% to Rs. 282.50, after West Asia war impacts export orders.

3. Mankind Pharma up 1.72% to Rs. 2,103, on acquiring Rivotril brand from Roche for Indian market.

Global Signals-

Asia-Pacific markets rose, with South Korea's Kospi leading gains.

European stocks were broadly higher as the market fallout of the Iran war remains in the spotlight ahead of the US Federal Reserve's next policy move.
