Indian indices-

Indian benchmark indices closed red on May 29, 2026, as uncertainty over the US–Iran deal weighed on investor sentiment. Except IT, all other sectoral indices ended in red. Broader markets also remained under pressure. At the end, Sensex was declined by 1.44% or 1092.06 points to 74,775.74. The Nifty plunged by 1.50% or 359.40 points to 23,547.75.

Rupee ended at 95.00/$ against May 26 close of 95.69/$.

1. Wockhardt jumped 14.62% to Rs. 2,030.70, on CDSCO marketing nod for ZAYNICH drug.

2. Ashapura Minechem soared 13.34% to Rs. 742, after the company's consolidated net profit jumped 31.49% to Rs. 110.73 crore in Q4 FY26 over Q3 FY26.

3. Natco Pharma declined 13.51% to Rs. 1,016.75, after the company reported a 34.11% YoY decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 267.9 crore in Q4 FY26 compared with Rs 406.6 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year.

Global Signals-

Asia-Pacific markets rose as investors shrugged off renewed Iran tensions against ceasefire optimism.

European stocks gained as investors assess prospects for a potential extension of the ongoing fragile ceasefire between the US and Iran.
