Indian indices-
The Indian stock markets closed the week on a positive note, with both the Nifty 50 and the S&P BSE Sensex ending higher on April 17, 2026. This optimism was primarily fueled by easing geopolitical tensions and reports of potential US-Iran peace talks scheduled for the weekend. All the sectoral index ended in the green. At close, the Sensex was up 504.86 points or 0.65% at 78,493.54, and the Nifty was up 156.80 points or 0.65% at 24,353.55.
Rupee ended at 92.93/$ against April 16 close of 93.20/$.

1. Kolte-Patil Developers surged 5.99% to Rs. 366.90, on Q4 biz update impact.
2. Rail Vikas Nigam gained 3.22% to Rs. 303.10, after company selected as lowest bidder for nearly Rs. 970 cr project.
3. Apollo Micro Systems surged 16.78% to Rs. 282.95, after the company received a licence from the Government of India to manufacture defence weapon systems.
4. KPI Green Energy up 1.71% to Rs. 448.35, after the company received an inter-state power trading licence (Category IV) from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) enabling participation in India’s national power markets.
