Earnings-

1. Nestle Q1 net profit rose by 45% YoY to Rs. 975.1 Cr.

2. Adani Green Energy Q1 net profit up 19.3% YoY at Rs. 983 Cr.

Indian indices-

Indian equities fell on July 22, 2026, marking their third straight day of declines, driven by higher crude oil prices, weakness in banking shares, and growing geopolitical concerns weighed on market sentiment. Sectoral performance remained largely in negative. At close, the Sensex was down 715.06 points or 0.92% at 76,755.05, and the Nifty was down 191.45 points or 0.79% at 23,996.25.

Rupee closes at 96.57/$ Vs. Tuesday's close of 96.24/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Bharat Coking Coal tumbled 6.88% to Rs. 34.92, after the company reported a net loss of Rs. 68.09 Cr in Q1 FY27 as against a net profit of Rs. 176.87 Cr in Q1 FY26.

2. Nestle India gained 2.70% to Rs. 1,492.20, after the company’s standalone net profit climbed 47.92% to Rs. 975.12 Cr in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs. 659.23 Cr in Q1 FY26.

3. Tips Music fell 12.22% to Rs. 624.85, after the company reported a 26% decline in standalone net profit to Rs 43.70 Cr for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 (Q1 FY27), compared with Rs 59.06 Cr in Q4 FY26.

Global Signals-

Asian markets closed mixed, with gains in Korea, Taiwan and Singapore offsetting declines in Japan and Hong Kong.

European markets traded higher, on easing inflation concerns despite rising geopolitical tensions and oil prices.
