Indian indices-

Indian equities ended on a mixed note on August 13, 2026, Sensex closed in the green on selective buying in heavyweight stocks, while the Nifty ended flat but marginally in the red. Investor sentiment remained cautious amid market uncertainties, leading to range-bound trading and subdued broader market participation. At close, the Sensex rose 113.61 points, or 0.15%, to 78,079.96, while the Nifty fell 40.10 points, or 0.16%, to 24,395.85.

1. Astral jumped 9.12% to Rs. 1,592, as the company reported 48% Y-o-Y increase first-quarter (Q1FY27) net profit.

2. Tata Motors gained 3.75% to Rs. 474, after the company reported 83% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,556 crore in Q1 FY27 as compared with Q1 FY26.

3. Mishra Dhatu Nigam surged 8.87% to Rs. 444.30, after the company announced that it has secured S400 approval from GE Aerospace.

Global Signals-

Asian stocks were mixed on August 13, as investors kept an eye on the day's crucial US consumer price index reading and the state of West Asia negotiations.

European shares inched up as lower crude offsets geopolitical unease.
