Post Market Update- Sensex up 273 points, Nifty close above 24,300

Stocks in the news-

1. HFCL bagged export order of Rs. 441.5 cr for the supply of optical fiber cables.

Indian indices-

Indian stock markets ended higher on July 30, 2026, after a flat start to the trading session. The upward move was driven by strong buying interest in information technology (IT) stocks. At close, the Sensex was up 273.55 points or 0.35% at 77,928.15, and the Nifty was up 66.95 points or 0.28% at 24,317.15.

Rupee weakens slightly, closing at 95.68 per dollar against Wednesday's 95.65 amid volatility.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Force Motors rose 1.69% to Rs. 17,622.75, after the company reported a 22.81% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 216.59 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 176.36 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

2. IRB Infrastructure Developers rose by 1.40% to Rs. 20.26, after company consolidated net profit rose by 51.26% YoY to Rs. 306.27 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs. 202.48 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year.

3. Balkrishna Industries (BKT) rallied 10.81% to Rs. 2,306.10, the company reported a 50.47% jump in standalone net profit to Rs 432.10 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 (Q1 FY27), compared with Rs 287.17 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Global Signals-

Asian markets were mixed on July 30, as a deeper selloff in semiconductor stocks weighed on sentiment following steep losses on Wall Street overnight.

European markets were marginally higher, supported by gains in technology and financial stocks as investors assessed corporate earnings and the broader economic outlook.
