Tainwala Chemicals & Plastic (I) Ltd was incorporated on September 4, 1985 as a Private Limited Company and was converted into a Public Limited Company on March 4, 1986 and flagship of the Tainwala group. The Company has been promoted by Mr. Ramesh Tainwala. The Company manufactures household consumer utility and personal care products like Mosquito Repellent and wet cleansing Tissues under the brand name of "CASPER" and "FRESH ONES". In 1990, the company diversified into polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheets. The Company entered into technical collaboration with Storelene AB of Sweden and Roussel Uclaf of France. The Company also entered into technical collaboration with M/s Cincinnati Micacron, Australia. The modernisation and expansion program of the company involves the company's expansion project of PVC sheet, extrusion line at Silvassa from 2000 MT to 4000 MT per annum. The Company's expansion and modernisation of Personal care Division by introducing new range of household insecticides and automation of "fresh ones". The Company also plans to invest in equity of Tainwala Polycontainer Limited. 2002-Tainwala Chemicals & Plastics India Ltd has informed BSE that Ms Gita Bade has resigned as Company Secretary of the Company with effect from December 07, 2002. 2003 -Dr. Ramesh Tainwala, Chairman of the Company has acquired 11,000 (i.e. 0.12% of the paid up equity capital of the Company) -Delists shares from Delhi Stock Exchange 2005 -Shri Mayank Dhuldhoya has been appointed as Additional Director of the Company .
