Market Report- Flat start for markets ahead of key earnings

The benchmark indices opened on a flat note on July 21, as investors assessed global cues, corporate earnings, and geopolitical developments. Among sectors, except Consumer Durables and pharma, all other indices are trading in the green with PSU Bank rising nearly 1%. At 9.25 am, Sensex rose 0.04% or 68 points to 77,659. Nifty gained 0.02% or 4 points to 24,248.

• Rupee opened at 96.41/$ Vs. July 20, 2026, close of 96.45/$.

Global Update-

• Asian markets were mostly higher, Nikkei and Kospi up over 2% each.
• US markets closed lower, All major Indices in the red.
• European markets closed mixed, DAX and CAC marginally higher, FTSE down nearly 1%.
