Market Report- Markets in gain. Nifty above 25,550

The benchmark indices were trading higher on July 02, 2025, as buying was seen among index heavyweights like Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, HCL Tech, ICICI Bank etc. Majority of the sectors were also in green except Capital Goods, Financial Services, FMCG, Industrials. At 9.25 am, Sensex rose by 0.16% or 136 points to 83,832. The Nifty gained 0.11% or 27 points to 25,571.

Rupee opened at 85.58/$ Vs. July 01 close of 85.52/$.

Global News-

Asian stock markets were trading mixed.

US markets closed lower, Tech-heavy Nasdaq down nearly 1%.

European markets closed lower ahead of ECB's annual forum meet.
