Market Report- Markets trade lower. All sectors in red

The benchmark indices were trading lower on April 30, 2026, as Brent crude prices soared due to the tension between the US and Iran. Brent crude traded near $120 a barrel after jumping more than 6% to the highest level since June 2022 on Wednesday. All the sectoral indices were trading in the red. At 9.42 am, Sensex slipped by 1.01% or 790 points to 76,717. The Nifty dipped by 1.01% or 244 points to 23,934.

Rupee Update-

Rupee opened at 95.02/$ vs Wednesday’s close of 94.85/$. Rupee crosses 95/$ for the first time since March 30, 2026.

Global Update-

Asia-Pacific markets mostly fell as oil climbs on Iran tensions, Fed holds rates.

European stocks closed lower on April 29, as Trump considers Iran peace proposal, UAE leaves OPEC.
