The benchmark indices were trading lower on the last day of the week on April 17, amid trade tariff concerns. IT stocks were under pressure after Wipro's weak results, midcap IT falls the most. At 9.35 am, Sensex slipped by 0.42% or 320 points to 76,759. The Nifty dipped by 0.44% or 104 points to 23,330.
Today will be the expiry of Nifty contracts. Markets will be closed for trading on Friday, April 18, on account of Good Friday.
