Market Report- Sensex down 350 points, Nifty below 25,600

The benchmark indices have extended their losing streak to a sixth consecutive session on January 12, following a heavy sell-off. Renewed threats of high tariffs from the US administration have severely dampened sentiment. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) continue to be net sellers. At 9.22 am, Sensex slipped by 0.41% or 351 points to 83,208. The Nifty dipped 0.38% or 97 points to 25,580.

Investors are adopting a "wait-and-watch" approach as the Q3 earnings season kicks off, with heavyweights like TCS and HCL Tech in focus.
