Post Market Update- Markets snap 5-day losing run. Sensex up 302 points

Stocks in the news-

1. Tanfac secured international order worth Rs. 2,363 cr for the supply of fluorinated chemicals

2. KP Green bagged order worth Rs. 819 cr from BSNL for execution of telecom infra works under the 4G Saturation project.

Indian indices-

The Indian markets have saw a dramatic recovery on January 12, 2026, after comments by US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor on ongoing trade talks lifted investor sentiment. BSE Midcap index shed 0.4% and smallcap index fell 0.7%. At close, the Sensex was up 301.93 points or 0.36% at 83,878.17, and the Nifty was up 106.95 points or 0.42% at 25,790.25.

Rupee ended at 90.15/$ against January 09 close of 90.16/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Signature global fell 6.47% to Rs. 943.65, after company said will not be able to meet FY26 pre-sales guidance.

2. Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company (SPARC) rose 2.23% to Rs. 135.40, after the company announced that its board will meet on January 14, 2026, to consider raising funds through a preferential issue of securities.

Global Signals-

Asia-Pacific markets mostly rose. Japanese markets closed for a holiday.

European markets were in res as investors weigh geopolitical developments in Iran, and renewed pressure on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
